The Bounty Of Echoes Cavern

The caverns went deeper than Vespera could have imagined.

It seemed like around every corner there was a new tunnel, chamber, or grotto. The ancient caves were full of mystery. Even with the Codex, and the help of so many exploring Adventurers, finding one's way inside was challenging!

Vespera's adventuring party hadn't yet found their way into the very deepest and most secret parts of Echoes Cavern -- but their expeditions had started to bear fruit nonetheless.

The ecosystem within the cave was unlike anything Vespera had seen before. Each time River returned from a Gathering expedition with a pouch full of materials, there was something new and unusual among the bounty.

Vespera had already catalogued at least two new kinds of plants: Dark blue Spectreshade Ivy that filled the air with cool mist when its leaves were disturbed, and glimmering Crystalcap Mushrooms that had turned out to be edible -- and surprisingly delicious!

Meanwhile, Ripple's Fishing expeditions had turned up a few new kinds of mysterious sea life! Preserved in their pools from the influence of the outside world for generations, the fish in Echoes Cavern had a strange, ancient appearance.

The Auraglow Spiralfish corkscrewed through the water in a graceful dance, tracing lines of light through the deep, dark pools. The Fossil Finned Trout, in contrast, was well camouflaged against the rocky basins with its earth-colored scales and markings resembling fossil fragments.

The caves stretched ever deeper into the canyon's walls. What awaited to be discovered next?
